Hand made bags, especially fabric ones are suitable to carry something heavy, because the bag itself is light weighted, that's why I love sewing and using them.

I've sewn this bag 

The fabric is made by Lecian, printed illustrations are copies of Kate Greenaway, Wiki said one of the Victorian illustrator for kids literature.
I used 2 kinds of fabrics for sewing this one.
Firstly, I cut 12 green alphabetical fabrics and 12 ivory scenery ones for 4 inches squares, so that I've got a lot of left over.

Then I cut these for using them.

They're half hexies　!!　J birds quilt ruler works well. They're going to be a small purse or something else.

Aren't they cute?

Well, I incidentally came across Kate Spain, a designer of these fabricｓ, about a year ago, as I bought a scrap bag filled with her designed 3 inches jelly rolls. Since then, I have been attracted her fabric designs.

On the picture, the French perfume on the right has been sent from my aunt lives in Groton MA
